This is a story about a girl who lives with her older sister after her parents death,  she spends most of her days with her best friend Jax, one day a new boy comes to school and she for the first time it seemed she didn't hate some one from the start. During her junior year, her aunt finds that if she can get custody of Eden she would get paid for her being a dependent.  Ari, Edens older sister, fights against the separation, and her aunt wants to take it to court.
