The Cure Year: 2031 Scientists have discovered that the planet is connected by the root system of trees. Scientists believe global warming is not only melting the ice caps but slowly killing the trees. The government has declared that all trees are an endangered species and all clear cutting is a felony. Paper and wood are now valued in millions of dollars. And the economy had never been worse. The world was suffering. Till finally scientists thought they had found a cure. They injected thousands of trees with their new cure. It worked at first but after a couple weeks the trees started to wilt and the roots became weak a brittle. Since the earth was connected by these roots, the earth began to separate becoming different sized chunks of the earth. Earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes all happening at the same time. The world was in chaos. Cities being torn apart, families separated. The world remained as chunks held together by the last strong roots. Each mass of land was different. The people made new civilizations and tried to live off what they could. 3,000 years later, a cure to the system was made.

"I hope you realize you made the worst f**king decision of your life." She could feel his cold icy blue eyes piercing through her soul. "I didn't ask for this..." tears threatened to fall from her eyes, her lips quivering in fear. His grip on both her wrists become tighter as he slams them hard against the wall, trapping her petite body in-between the wall and his body, "You'll never have a place in my life, let alone my heart, do you understand?" She winces from the pain from her wrists. He slams her arms against the wall again. He leans in close enough to the point where their lips are only inches apart, "I said, do you f**king understand, foolish girl?" His voice rises as he clenches his jaw in an impatient manner. She nods in hopes that he'll let go. And just like that, he lets go of her as she falls to the floor in utter defeat. What have I done... she asks herself. **Full Summary Inside** Cover by: Me, Myself, and I!
