This story has recently been put in the Yugiohwattyawards for 2017! If you haven't followed them yet I would recommend it! There's always some really awesome books entered! Atem was born into the royal house hold in Egypt. His life was to say the least exceptional. He had anything he could ever want, Toys, games, clothes, pets. The only thing that would dampen Atem's life is that when he was 3 he contracted polio and lost his ability to walk. then one day 2 a new son was born into the royal family, named Yami. 6 months later a plague swept through the grain fields in Egypt leaving the people hungry. The pharaoh being preoccupied with this had no time to spend with his wife and children. Angered by this the queen comes to the conclusion that it's Atem's fault and that he needed to be punished. Condemned to be lock in his room and forgotten about Atem soon finds comfort in an imaginary friend named Yugi. Ten years later Atem is still locked up like a prisoner. When Atem's father finds out about Atem his mother agrees to have a servant look after him. To Atem's surprise the servant boy looks exactly like his imaginary friend he had when he was younger.

It was then Priestess Isis bestowed to her the Millennium Braclet, an item that can only be given to one of kind soul and good heart. Upon placing the braclet on her queen, her injuries began to heal. But that's not all it did, as her wounds finished healing, the queen's body began to revert back to when she was 5, then a golden glow remained over her, keeping her in an animated state. As the other priest were beginning to panic, Priestness Isis said "Fear not, for fate had other plans for our queen. Soon she and our pharaoh will be reunited and together will once again face an evil that will appear far beyond our time." (Follows storyline, may have some twist and extra stuff. I screamed, thinking it was loud enough, but was just an feeble attempt to stop Aadil. At that moment, the flashbacks of me being tied to a rod, with my parents enjoying the blood pouring out started playing. It's repeating all over again, and this time I may not survive to escape. I was taken back in time. I feel I am back at that hostage room and me escaping to get out of this country is failing miserably. I mumbled with the little energy I held, 'Mum, Dad, please stop...' But again, it was of no use, as my vision is displaying full of colourful, dancing dots. My breathing is becoming frantic every second, trying not to pass out, but it seems my body doesn't want to keep up with all of this. If this is really my ending, so be it. With that thought, the peace that I always imagined is starting to consume me. This is the end for me. I can finally rest peacefully. He's nearly a step away from me when I start to notice a certain familiar chiseled jawline, familiar deliciously full lips, and familiar aristocratic nose.
