Fate/Lost Pledges
In the mountain metropolis of Northridge, Father Maynard "Poldi" Hoffman is no ordinary priest. With a gambling problem, a history of brawling, and a penchant for bending the rules, he's the last person you'd expect to oversee a deadly ritual. But when the Holy Grail War-a battle royale among mages and their legendary summoned Servants-descends upon his city, Poldi is thrust into a role he neither desires nor fully understands. For Ulf Jensen, an unassuming man thrust into this deadly game, survival means summoning a powerful Servant-and convincing her that his inexperience isn't a death sentence. Meanwhile, the streets are alive with more than just Grail War chaos: gangs seek control, aristocrats weave plots, and an ambitious idol dreams of stardom amidst the rising tide of conflict. As worlds collide, legends awaken, and dark secrets unfold, the Grail's promise of omnipotence threatens to drown Northridge in chaos. Many years after the 5th Holy Grail War have passed and a new generation of Mages are born, but not like you think. From multiple powerful families, the Tohsakas, Ezinbern, Matous, and Ainsworth, they have given birth to disgraced offsprings. These disgraced children of the powerful families live normal lives for the most part, knowing very well that they'll never be chosen by the Grail... until a mimic Grail comes into the hands of one of the Matous. Without their knowledge nor consent, they're thrusted into another Holy Grail War, except it's not a real one. Even stranger for them and the War, they're the only people on earth. Seven Mages on a desolate world battling for the omnipotent wishing device. There are no good guys, but there are also no bad guys, just winners and losers in this War. What will become of this mimic Grail? Will one of them win? Will they lose? Will it be like last time, and no one gets the grail? Will it even end?
