Sagitta adalah rasi bintang terkecil ketiga. Rasi ini juga dimasukkan oleh Ptolemy. Pada waktu itu, luas rasi ini malah lebih kecil, dan hanya sekitar 4 derajat persegi. Rasi ini juga merupakan satu dari 88 rasi bintang yang diakui oleh IAU.
Keduanya disatukan dalam sebuah galaksi dengan nama Bima Sakti.
