"Come back!" She screamed. But the voices only left her farther behind.





    For months she's waited, never giving up the thought that they'd come for her. Others had related to her the tales of how they'd come to be. She knew, deep down, that they would find her.

    But when they do chance upon her one night, her hopes are shattered. They run right passed her, conversing amongst themselves. She watched them go, knowing they must not have seen her. Disappointment replaces hope, but the longing to be free still persists.
