"If I could travel back in time in an attempt to stop all the dreadful things which followed from happening, there are many things I might say to my past self: be thankful for what you have, always listen to your elders, and never trust creepy giggling hermits with terrible mascara..."

After being dragged by his father to the northern slopes of the kingdom, Corliss McClintock is feeling especially down on his luck: his empty inheritance has left him increasingly bitter, a stunningly beautiful woman wants nothing to do with him, and to top it all off all the goats in the land seem to have it in for him.

However, after ignoring a wise old hag and making a dodgy deal with an even dodgier character which sees him running for his life and freedom alongside a liar and a refugee seeking justice, sending them spiralling from one fantastical disaster to the next, it appears that perhaps he hadn't had it so bad after all...

The Dark Heir (SHORTLIST - Open Novella Contest 2019) by HM_Braverman
22 parts Complete
**Featured on DARK FANTASY and ADULT FICTION reading lists** WARNING: EATING OR DRINKING WHILE READING THIS STORY IS HIGHLY INADVISABLE. Once Upon A Time, Good Omens, Monty Python, and Arrested Development had a back-alley three-way and birthed a fairytale. Gerald wasn't supposed to be stuck living seven centuries in the future. He definitely wasn't supposed to be "mentoring" The Dark Lord's progeny in the hopes that she would decide to save the world rather than destroy it. In fact, he wasn't even supposed to be named Gerald (the name of every other male in his family for three hundred years), because everyone assumed a weak-chinned, balding, forgettable man, who was just a magician, could never be who Geraldo The Foreshadower prophesied. But that's what assuming gets you, and here he was saddled with a fate he never asked for, in a time he didn't know, surrounded by people he didn't want to like, and he was out of Firewine AGAIN! The Dark Heir is a darkly satirical tale of assumptions, anti-heroes, and apocalypses, where the road to hell is actually a themed water-park slide covered in slightly less urine than a real one. It drops literary and film references faster than an NYC socialite drops names, and promises endless laughs - including, but not limited to, sad chuckles, guffaws, uncontrollable giggles at inappropriate moments, brays, barks, cackles, snorts, cachinnations, and the occasional howl (though that may be the Welsh Werewolves showing up unannounced). Consider yourself warned... Reviews: "Completely and adorably bonkers," says @floranocturna "Hilarious in every way. Even when I cringed, I laughed," says @LadySapphire2018 Winner of The Trident Awards

Will she be able to handle the world they live in? **** Luca poured some wine in both of our glasses while Angelo continued to tease me. He knew how he made me feel. Luca was quick to down his glass before grabbing ahold of my chin, his face now inches away from mine. "I want to kiss you" He told me. I felt as butterflies began to swarm in my stomach from the tone of his voice. I then leaned forward and he took that as a sign to seal our lips. Just as I imagined, he lips were incredibly soft. Unlike Angelo, he kissed me with more gentleness. I could taste the wine he had just a few moments ago. He soon deepened the kiss and a small moan came from me as I felt Angelo placing kisses on my neck. I could feel myself becoming horny as the two switched places. Angelo smashed lips against mine while Luca began making love marks on the other side of my neck. **** #1 - cheater #2 - polyamory #2 - ex #2 - darkness #5 - love #5 - funny #13 - poly #17 - fear #18 - dark #20 - polyamorous #52 - blackgirl

First draft so it's very very rough!!!! Completed My name is Lana Walker. My life had been a fairytale. Until tragedy struck. A car crash that obliterates my entire life including my three mates. I survived but at what cost? Five months later I'm still in pieces. Everyone knows losing your mates is the fastest way to madness. Except on a good ole Monday, I see my mates. From the way everyone around me is behaving, they never died. Neither do they remember me. They despise me. My life has taken a bizarre turn with an unstable power within me, a secret force behind strange attacks and three mates who are on my case. For unknown reasons.. I may have broken into their apartment and attracted their attention. Some very negative attention. "Lana", he coos softly, and I hum in response ", I'm not fucking anyone, pretty girl" My cheeks burn at the familiar nickname, and I swallow my suddenly dry throat until he adds, "Yet," I almost pull a muscle in my neck turning to look at him. When he glances back at me and sees the obvious disgust on my face, he closes his eyes, rubbing his lips together in amusement. There is a rare show of softness for me when he looks at me his fingers stroke my chin to cheer me up. "I'm going to fuck you, aren't I?" my breathing picks up, and I try to see the deception but find none. Just his arrogance and lust. For me. "we'll see" I swallow and stroke a hand down my straightened hair. Jackson cocks his head to the side, the challenge accepted. The hunt is on. "oh, I am fucking you. Six Ways to Sunday" Book one of the "what we did do series" Dark romance/ reverse harem. Mature themes 🔞
A Time Traveling Fairytale by ElsaS7
56 parts Complete
Fate leads those who are willing but must push those who are not. One might interpret this saying a bit too literal. After all, Elena did end up on the bottom of a hill in the middle of a forest, suffering several injuries. But do not worry, fate loves a rebel and has something magical stored for our sarcastic heroine. Time travel. An adventure in the 16th century was not something our main character had in mind, but when her path is built with music and joy, it can't be that bad, right? Oh, who am I kidding. . . At first glance, it seemed to be the perfect fairytale for our main character; being able to experience the medieval time and be surrounded by enchantment wherever she went. She even meets a monk, blessed with the gift of music, who shares her passion and is willing to teach Elena the secrets of the piano. It's perfect. But it was only the tip of the iceberg. Elena's piece of tranquility is broken when she stumbles into another mess, leaving her caged and alone in the forest. Fortunately for our heroine, a prince crosses her path, helping her in her need. One might see this as the Universe's way for entertainment, or the fate's bizarre tactics to bring people together. Whatever it might be, it did not stop Elena from catching the eye of the prince of a powerful kingdom. Before anyone knows what's even happening, they're caught in the middle of it all; like a cat trapped in a yarn. After all, even the stone you trip on is a part of your destiny. What happens when the Universe, and basically everything between hell and heaven, is against you? Simple: it's a journey filled with unforgettable events. So buckle up, folks, because you are in for a ride of pirates, songs, chases, jokes, and a broken soul. After all, there is no flying from fate.
