My head feels like it's full of cotton balls of stress. Every single bone and muscele in my body aches because of the pain that lies ahead. I know that Candor is not for me, my aptitude test proves that I'm Dauntless, and I feel it as well, inside and out. I pull my head from my tear stained pillow, and realise my older sister, Natalie, has been watching me

"W-we can't d-do this." I said shakily as he locks the door behind him and it immediately shut off the noises of the drunk adults laughter. "We've been over this Jess, stop acting like you don't want me as much as I want you." he said as he walks towards me but I back up a step and he stopped. "Are you really going to fucking test me Jess?" He said with anger clear in his voice. I felt the anxiety in me rise up and tears brim my eyes at him getting mad because I know what that leads to. "I want you on the bed with no clothes and if you disobey me." he let out a dry chuckle; I almost ran at how dark it came out. "Well, you know that part, don't you?" •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This story covers the youth of Jess first and the later chapters is where she blooms...... Friendless and timid, Guinevere is stuck in her socially anxious shadow, content to let her sister lead and live a sheltered life. Without Natalie pushing her to break out of her comfort zone, she'd be trapped in fear. The world is scary, even her own family conflicts terrify her; she needs Natalie's support. But what happens when Natalie, her big sister, her mentor and only real friend, suddenly can't be there for every moment of her life? Lola, raised to be a hardworking farmer, when all she wants is a bit of agency over her life, the freedom to do what she wants. And yet, she is perfectly willing to let Natalie handle conversations for her. For as much as she wants to be free, she wouldn't know what to do with herself, get meticulously caught up in planning the details and never end up doing anything. And Natalie, who has no personal desires, simply living in moments and finding the best in whatever is going on. Freely engaging with her friends and helping them, as she lacks her own internal drive, the self awareness to know what she wants. After a long childhood struggle with her self esteem and valuing herself, that has become what she "needs," her coping strategy with rough situations. Being complacent with what happens to her and simply accepting, with no real goals of her own, no idea that her friends are just as directionless as she is. When health complications arise for her, and her friend group is falling apart around her as she can't guide them, she'll have to ask the essential questions that she can't simply answer in a quick sentence. The questions that she has long dismissed as unimportant. Is this what she truly wants, to be solely fulfilled by everyone else depending on her for support? And where does she draw the line? This story touches on potentially triggering content, including the use of slurs, toxic family relationships, anxiety, anger, and death. Any real people, brands or places are only used to further realize the environment.

COMPLETED (EDIT: In the process of being rewritten! Some of the writing might have you cringing! New chapters will be uploaded once they're all edited and written!) Meet Olivia, she's from Amity. You may think that everyone is Amity is just the happiest people in the world, right? Well, you're wrong. Not everyone at least. When Olivia transfers to Dauntless, where her sister transferred, no one could really figure out why. But will her past from Amity follow her? Haunt her, even? What about a certain Dauntless leader that seems to like her? "Training is over for today, everyone out!" Eric roars and as I'm about to walk through the door, I hear his cold voice yet again, "Not you Via, you stay," The others flood out and I stay planted near the door, he slowly stalks towards me and I find myself walking backward until I've hit the door behind me, I slightly jump from shock and let out yet another shaky sigh, he puts both of his arms beside my head, easily towering over me. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories. (Best) (THIS STORY TALKS ABOUT SOME MATURE THINGS THAT MAY TRIGGER SOME PEOPLE.) I do not own Divergent, I do not own the original Divergent characters, but I do own my characters. {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? A/N : First chapter is a little sketchy but that is the case with all of my books. I promise it does get a lot better afterwards Start: Feb 06 2021 End: Dec 15 2021

Have you ever felt so lonely you believed there was nothing left for you? Stashed away, merely forgotten. I mean you could cry and cry, yet no one would hear you. At least no one you truly once loved. Being yourself can be detrimental to others happiness, and so you down play who you are. You devalue your beliefs, your morals fall short and that hollow rock turns into your Mirror. Do you matter anymore? Would anyone care if you simply disappeared? Could you find your way out of the darkness? Look Closer is one of my favourite quotes and so I'll use it as a guide to understanding the complex characters you're about to meet.
