Having just received an acceptance letter in the mail from his older brother's college, Oakwood University, Axel Donahue, a socially awkward and rather plain 18 year old, prepares for his freshman year. Little does he know, he'll be facing a hyperactive roommate with a disturbing past, an ex bully who's successfully fucked up his life, a two faced rich kid, and a pair of twins who couldn't be more different.

He appears to be a normal teenager, but he has a dark secret that only one other person in the world knows. Living alone, he turns to his passion for art as a way to let his emotions out, but sometimes that proves to not be enough. Sam Larson is a sixteen-year-old closeted gay guy who, after receiving the news of his mother's death, winds up making Jace's life hell as a way of venting his grief. He lives with his twin brother, who is essentially his polar opposite. Sam secretly hates all of his "friends" except for one. Kizuato Larson is Sam's twin brother. Being kind of a recluse, he's a quiet person who is very distant and removed from his sibling. Ever since the twins' dad left when they were seven, Kizuato has been more reserved and less willing to trust people. He hates people who bully others for things that can't be changed- such as sexual orientation or race- especially after having experienced it himself for being asexual/aromantic.
