Eve, a 7 year old girl, is living with her uncle and aunt, her real parents died in tragic accidents, her dad was killed by a stray hunters bullet while he was horseback riding through the woods, the shooter was drunk and did not see the orange, her mom was killed in a house fire. She was 3 at the time, the parents both died in the same year. She was sent to her uncle Leman and aunt Cera. Unfortunately her uncle was a mean man, had been in prison, Eve was beat occasionally if her uncles anger got high, Aunt Cera was also strict, if she disobey she would be sent to her room and no food for a day, just stale bread and water every three hours,
But when Eve runs after her uncle does something bad she runs into a kind man that helps her learn that 'people can Change'
