"Words that I always hated to say was, "Sir. Yes sir". I don't understand why my father sent me to a military school. I hated being told what to do, I hated being yelled at, I hated the whole uniform thing. Military school wasn't for me. I rather be outside, kicking a piece of rubber around. I rather be around people who are always smiling and having fun. Damn, I would rather sit in my room and play online games all day. But not being scared to go to art class. But no matter how much crap I talk about military school, the teachers there, the students, how strict it was or just how it was ran in general, I have to say one thing. Because of military school, I am who I am today."

   Hiro is a somophome in highschool who just started school not to long ago. She's use to the teachers, the students and was ready for another year. She liked they way she carried herself through freshmen year and plans to do it again. But that's not what her parents want. 
    Hiro is soon transferred to a school the military school known as Astral High, the school her parents work at. They think this will help her make friends and find who she truly was. Hiro accepts, thinking military is not what TV shows portray them as. She was dead wrong.

We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. How can I explain that to my mom when she sees everything to be black and white.

"Then can I move schools? Attend your boarding school?" He was silent, then let out a long sigh of defeat. "I'll enroll you now. Pack your things, I'll send a car in the morning for you." That was all I needed to hear, and I was thrilled. Without making noise, I danced around my room and repeatedly thanked him. Later that night, after the usual abuse, I silently packed my things when she was passed out. I hurried in doing it, and stored them at the back of my closet so she couldn't see them when she checked up on me. You're doing it, Sammy. You're finally getting out of here; away from all the bitchy girls, your mom, and old memories with Fletcher. I'm proud of you, girl...
