And as if juggling school and riding wasn't hard enough, there's a new guy at the stable who says he'll never ride again and a Puissance competition being hosted at J.O.P.S before winter break has Skylar excited and kicking it into full gear...problem is, Skylar is an Eventer, she doesn't know the first thing about competing in Puissance. Can Sky get this mysterious new guy to open up, will she be able to learn the Puissance jumping technic in time? And maybe, just maybe, could some sparks fly?

What will Amy do, her Grampa said to her that this was a chance of a Lifetime and not to worry about Heartland as they'll Just buy and breed more Cattle. Of course things take a different turn due to Ty's insecurities and while Amy's in the USA with Dark Horse, Calamity Strikes of Biblical proportions sending the US into turmoil with help being offered from the UK and Europe. Ty can't believe what's happened and for the first time in his life he prays that Amy survived, he knows which City she's in so sets off to find her, hoping that the city still exists.
