Dachshund Through The Snow

Alex, the dachshund that nobody believed in, once did something major. That major thing was save the world.

"She's useless," Melanie, my girl, complained to her parents one windy night in November. Her gleaming hazel eyes glared at me in disbelief. "All she does is eat, sleep, and leave her droppings in our house."
I stared at her with my head cocked to the side. I wanted her to tell me what she meant by that; dogs can't understand what humans say, unless it was a word or saying they were used to. The news came on that night saying people were getting lost in the snow. Even though I was small, I knew every dogs purpose was to protect people. So I set off one night and started my work.
