I should have known he'd do such a thing to save me from the awful destiny that looms over all teens ages 16-22! To save me from the dreaded maze of death!"
The Mortelex is a maze that exists under the planet Aurora's crust. But if you pass the thousands of tests and trials of the maze you will reach Aurora's core which supposedly possesses unfathomable powers. The king will do anything to come in possession of it so every five years he sends 15 teens to try to retrieve the core's powers, but so far to no avail. No one has come back alive. Aurora's prince attempts at keeping Cor safe but to his horror, she is selected to get the power. Will she survive and love flourish, or will her life be taken by the Mortelex?
