We all live with memories, memories of all kinds which engulf us until we either reminisce or relive them. Leading us to the feeling of bittersweet intoxication, overwhelming the very core of our being. Perhaps the recollection itself coupled with these powerful emotions reverberate through places, through time and space leaving us somewhat powerless to this magnetic chain reaction. The hushed words totally comprehended, the darkness of the night in utter bareness, the unspeakable sorrow deeply rooted, splintered hearts scattered, forgotten, abandoned and the physical emptiness of everything yet the presence of another.
And despite all, we still find strength in the fragility of these moments, outlive and conquer them however difficult, heartbreaking, or unbearable, they are but most of all, transcend.
These poems somehow cover them all.
So hold my hand, walk with me, see through my eyes, and cradle my soul as I serenade you to my crib and beyond.
