Gracy Wood was abandoned at the age of three when her parents found out she had a hidden metagene. Her parents wanted nothing to do with her when they found out she could turn into a ghost. She was left until one day a nice family adopted her and raised her as their own. Until they were killed in a accident. Gracy has been living on her own for he past three years but what happens when she runs into a certain bird?

And why does she keep having visions of nothing but pitch blackness? Did something happen to her niece? And what will happen when a bully Skywing keeps making her doubt that being a hybrid is somehow wrong? Will Spirit be able to recover her regular self or will she give up and become a doormat? And how will a secret admirer come into play? Especially when Spirit begins to get more visions of strange giant creatures deep within the ocean.
