In the midst of a brutal Civil War between the Fae and Humans, a peace treaty called The Ordinance was made to end the bloodshed. More than half a century later, the Renegades, a dangerous rebel group, are set on destroying the Ordinance - no matter the cost.
Meanwhile, Faerie Prince Maxon Northfall and Human Princess Isabelle Moonhollow fight to keep their feelings for each other at bay. After all, their love is forbidden by the cruel Ordinance.
