One thousand emails is a lot. What if I told you those were just between Evan Hansen and Connor Murphy? What if Evan tried to help Connor with his depression? 

It was supposed to be just one project, then it'd be all over and done with. Nothing would go wrong, nothing could. 

But, things didn't go as planned.

Note: This is an AU, in the musical version Connor is not good friends with Evan while in this version he is (due to the events that transpired in this fanfiction), so while I ship treebros in the AU context this is not the original musical, you can make your own opinion after watching the original.
