A short story that takes place in a future where humans interact with each other through synthetic proxies. These are machines capable of handling every task, from emotional expression to mundane labor, all while maintaining the safety of their drivers. This all the more shocks the populace when an unforeseen and unexplainable murder occurs at the hands of one of the proxies.
