A freak accident on a cruise lands a group of teenagers stranded on an island. Our story begins several months into their fight to survive and to find a way home when a lost member of the group returns with knowledge that could save them all, if they are willing to risk it.

A young girl who becomes a Seeker is tasked with a job from a mysterious Orthen. Reluctant and untrusting of this Orthen she decides to take the job for a large sum of money. Money that will give her permanent freedom. However, this job will lead her to uncover the truth about ancient stories she's heard all her life. She will be faced with many challenges in attempting to complete this job and she will face bitter betrayal. In the end, she will have to choose. What is right and wrong when you've never known the truth?
