The circular gateway of the portal darkens, creating what seems to have become a swirling vortex. Papers swirl around the room. Serenity's hair is flapping wildly in my face.
"What do you mean, unplug it?!" Pete shouts over the buzzing. "Don't send him towards that!" The lights are dimming, sparks are flying from the vortex, creating a blinding light emanating from it. The temperature drops, as if the portal is absorbing all the light and heat in the room. Right now I'm grateful for my three sweatshirts, walking up to the portal, my arm in my face to protect me from the harsh winds and blinding light. I reach out to the front to see part of my hand slowly...dissolving?!
"CHRIS!" comes a voice, seeming to fade away immediately.

A Bit Of Trust... (Part 1: Neverland) (PeterPan rewrite by Jae) by JAE_Wrote_This

"Who are you?" I demand. The boy in front of me replies, "That's not how this works, love." I freeze. That phrase. That voice. It can't be. I look up but he's just a cloaked silhouette. The rustling stops when boys surrounding us step from their hiding spots and light lanterns. Every single one of them masked and cloaked. Except the one in front of me. The lamps lit, and I see his face. "Whoa," slips from my lips as I stare at the boy in front of me. His eyes widen and his jaw almost, just almost, drops. With his guard down for that one instant I lose all fear and gain control. "You!" I yell suddenly overflowing with anger. My stomach heats with rage. I fight to stand, stronger this time with anger as fuel. He backs up, his breath increasing. Obviously, uneasy, I take it as a win and almost stand all the way. "You. What are you doing here? How did you find this place!" He switched to angry. "You! You're the reason! They put me back because of you! It was all cause of you! It was your fault! All of it!" I'm so angry I yell only what I can. My thoughts flying through my head I can only yell unexplained nonsense. I've never felt anger like this before. The red glow lightly pours off my own skin and I take notice to it. I compare it to the glow coming off of him. Suddenly, it's an instinct to allow the anger to explode and in doing so the red glow is taken from his chest as I absorb it all and throw it out in all directions. I yank down away from the boy holding me just as the red glow gets sucked from him, absorbed into my hands, and then thrown out in a sphere of red glow. All boys stumbling but not by much and the one holding me gets knocked back, I'm free. "You die now, Peter Pan!"

It's so hot, what is going on. Is it even humanly possible to sweat this much?" Oh, but the temperature is just perfect "Who is that? Wait, you can hear my thoughts? Where am I?" As I open my eyes, I realize I'm not on my bed or even in my room where I should be after coming home late last night. "Or did I not make it home? This is definitely not earth" I said to myself as I looked around and took a 360-degree view of what I can't even describe. "Is this is supposed to be a house? Where am I?" Beautiful isn't it? This could all be yours if you want, or whatever change you want to make to it, just think about it, anything you want, anything you can think about, it's all yours. "This voice again, who are you, where are you?" I shouted out and waited for a response but to my disappointment, I heard no reply. "Beautiful?" I said to myself as I looked around, "Is this not more than beautiful? The whole building is made of glass, pure crystal-clear glass." I looked around and studied the cube like structure made entirely from glass and if my eyes were not deceiving me, was also rotating slowly. "But how is that possible, I'm standing on a fixed spot and not feeling any movement, also the darkness that totally surrounds the glass building isn't allowing me to determine if the building is really rotating or not. What kind of confusion is this?" All that surrounded the glass building was darkness, black thick darkness. What is this cube even built on? No foundation? It's just hanging in space? What is this darkness? How is this crazy heat not even destroying the glass cube? This is definitely not a building. Is this still Earth? Several questions rushed up my mind as I surveyed the area I turned away from all these questions and the surroundings of the cube as no one was going to answer my questions. The glass beneath my feet felt cold as I tried walking and that just added to the weirdness of the place.

(COMPLETE. SEQUEL COMING SOON) "But Chemistry is so confusing." I complained. "Not very." Séamus leaned over my textbook and whispered the third passage, his lips brushing my earlobe making me blush scarlet red. I normally don't get this nervous around guys. 'All chemical reactions are accompanied by a change in energy. Some reactions release energy to their surroundings (usually in the form of heat) and are called exothermic. For example, sodium and chlorine react so violently that flames can be seen while the exothermic reaction gives off heat.' With my breath in my throat, I blush deeper and avoid his gaze. I find that hard to do anymore when I feel his rough knuckles brush my left cheek. "You're having an exothermic reaction, Andrea." His deep voice vibrated pleasantly against the side of my neck. My morals told me to resist but something else told me not to... ... Andrea always thought highly of herself. She's the image of perfection in Lumberton High. She's rich, has classy friends, is the top jock in softball and dance, was voted last homecoming queen, and has straight As. Except chemistry. Now she has to hire a tutor or she will have to endure summer school for the credit. 'There are many reasons not to be with him. He's a womanizer, my chemistry tutor, and... he's supposed to be dead.'
