When we reach the bathtub, I shakily reach for the curtain, Peyton's hands gripping tighter. Tears stain my cheeks and I let out a shaky breath.
I yank back the curtain of the bathtub and a bloodcurdling scream escapes Peyton's mouth and my free hand muffles the scream that threatens to escape. Tears pound out of my eyes and stream down my face. I couldn't look away but Peyton was pulling me away. She pulls me out of the bathroom, this time not trying to avoid the blood.

so this is a suspenseful short story that I wrote in my creative writing class and I must say that I'm not too disappointed with it!

"You make me want to do things to you." He mumbles, his brown eyes never straying from mine. "What?" I whisper, nervous yet at the same time my heart pounds with excitement and anticipation. There is a reason she's doing this. No one knew the reason and the ones who know are only her family . Her eighteenth birthday turned out to be a disaster. She's bullied in school and doesn't do anything to stop it. No one usually noticed her. Until someone actually, does. Aiden Waters, the schools badass notices her. We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this? Time is ticking as they try to find their way out before they end up lying in a puddle of their own blood.Complete

Whenever she came, she was at peace. Her mother and father would watch behind her with big, happy smiles, as Peyton frolicked around the concrete jungle. But now, her mother is dead, from a chronic and fatal disease. Peyton's father, now surrounded in sorrow, no longer was able to live happily. When Peyton came home one day, a plate was thrown at her face, and towering above her was her very angry father. Peyton has the choice, to either leave the woods to find help, or keep suffering in the aura of her angry father.Complete

"We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. "Hurry up Dakota!" Peyton banged his fists on my bedroom door. I quickly glanced up then back down at my bag again. I shoved my clothes in the bad and zipped it up. I slipped the step on my shoulder and ran to my door. Peyton was sweating from nervousness. "C'mon." Peyton's sweaty hands grasped mine and directed us to the front door. I ended up running into his muscular back. He stopped running. "Where do you think you're going?" That abusive voice croaked. I flinched.
