I watch them handcuff both her hands and put chains to her feet.
I watch them push her inside that room.
I watch how she scratch her nape because of the itching cause by the all white jumpsuit they force her to wear.
I watch her when she look at me at the two way mirror separating all of us from her.
I watch as her unusual bright indigo eyes seems to glint with never ending wisdom we all refuse to see.
I watch as the small understanding smile curve to her lips, she understand us why we are so scared to an unknown such as she herself.
I watch how she lay to her bed, close her eyes not minding us staring curiously at her, wondering about the story she said, wondering the mystery she has.
And I watch myself unfolding all her mystery.
I see myself listening to her story.
I watch myself getting caught along the way not knowing how to get free from her mesmerizing gaze full of knowledge.
I saw myself so eager to know more.
I saw myself believing...
That maybe...
Maybe.

Just One Date
If houses have termites and rice fields have rats, I, on the other hand, have Clark Ethan. Siya ang peste sa buhay ko. A damn good-looking pest, my cousin would say. But still a pest nonetheless. He's practically everywhere, every time, almost everyday. His mere presence pisses me off and although I've made it very clear to him that we can't be more than friends, he just don't seem to get it. I don't know what else to do so he'll leave me alone. Until he came up with a very tempting deal. One date. Just one date at tatantanan na niya ako. One date kapalit ng katahimikan ko. I'll finally get rid of him after just one date. That's why I took the risk. But the most unexpected thing happened. After that one date, I came to see him in a different light. I was able to discover the other side of him that I haven't paid attention to before. I realized he's not a jerk after all. He has Prince Charming potentials that I never knew existed. He's a Knight in Shining Armor waiting to happen. And all of a sudden, I found myself wanting to see him again, aching to be with him again. But he kept his promise. What we have is just now. As long as she loves me. As long as she wants to be with me. As long as there is 'we'. I love her! But the rainbow is not just a blend of vibrant and bright colors. It doesn't even stay for a long period of time-- just enough for us to see and in a fleet of time is gone, leaving us wondering if it's real. A rainbow doesn't have black and white. It wasn't just like that. Same as love. Same as us. There were times that i want to give her up. Not because my love did fade, rather, my love is too much. Too much that letting her go is the only option left for her to choose me without hesitation, without guilt, freed of lies. I want her to grow, to weigh things as it is. I want her to make me feel that being with me is her choice. I want her to realize that i am hers and that she have to surrender herself to me as well. I want her to love me because that is the way she feels and not because it was the safest way. Being with her is paradise. It was a mixture of colored pastel. It was too vibrant to explain. But at a sudden twist of downs and ups, we are shaking. Loving her has become my weakness. The weakening thought of losing her when I fuck up is too much to run me insane. I'm overreacting perhaps. But being with her, means walking in a narrow-road of heaven. There's no security, no assurance. One wrong move, and I'll be slipping away. Just in the never ending pain of darkness, of solitude, of self-struggle. Loving her has become my addiction. I couldn't get enough of it. But so they say, what's too much can cause harm. Maybe I'm loving her too much that she finds it hard to breathe when i'm around.
