Derek is in for a rude awakening when the neighbors mistaken him for their dead son.
(This short story is made up of a teenagers journal entries about his new life in a new town. I wrote it for an english class and decided to put it on here)

The main character fell for a popular boy in their high school. For multiple months, the main character has been hiding themselves from this boy, Tal, because they've been scared of what Tal may think of them. After a while of waiting and hiding, Tal finally notices the main character and automatically falls in love with them; they had love at first sight. Slowly this major change affected the main character, their everyday life, and experiences they haven't had before. Their friends leave them and the main character is left with Tal and a few of his friends.
