[Highest Rank in Paranormal: #470]
Seventeen-year-old Zed St. Claire has the peculiar ability to see people's past incarnations.
He has never thought of this as nothing more of a party trick or a fun way to pass time until he sees Morag, a Scottish woman from the 18th century and recognises in her the love of his past life. The problem is that Morag's soul is now housed in the body of a fifteen-year-old boy.

Through a series of misunderstandings and shenanigans Zed and Morag's new incarnation, Bran, develop a rather unlikely friendship.

Zed and Bran's vicinity seems to unlock hidden parts of Zed's power and while starting to recollect parts of his previous lives, Zed also starts developing feelings for Bran that go beyond the love he feels for Morag.

Their growing relationship goes hand in hand with further developments of a theory that ties both their past lives to Loch Rannoch and to a series of catastrophic events that have recurred every fifty years for the past few centuries.

Both Zed and Bran will have to look back at their past actions and see if this time they will be able to change the future even if it comes at a very high price.

For centuries, the High Mages of the Los Angeles Circle has summoned spirits to act as their slaves or do their bidding. For centuries these mages have battled in secret for supremacy and have ruled the entirety of the city. Kain has changed this natural balance, by being the first recorded spirit-human hybrid. He's hated by his father who he refuses to call father, he's hated by his peers for being less than human, and he's ignored by the spirits for being too human. He's never accessed his spirit form, he's never had pizza or French fries, and he's definitely never had a friend. Then there's Jayden. He is a mage of the High Circle who was raised as a farm boy. He is fighting against two, probably three, other mages to form a contract with Kain, and prove his superiority as a Terran mage. He also treats Kain like a human. He wants to be Kain's friend, and he actually cares about what Kain thinks. And that, that terrifies Kain. Will Kain accept this new friend, or will he fall back into the ways his father taught him and sign a contract with a mage who will treat him like the spirit he is?
