Cay Redfox grew up without knowing the love of her mother or father.
After Levy's tragic death sixteen years ago, Gajeel has been unable to look his only daughter in the eye. Everything about her, the way she talks, the way she laughs, even the headband she wears around constantly, seems to be specifically designed to remind him of everything he has lost.
But the more he pushes her away, the more Cay feels inadequate. She begins retreating into herself more and more, until one fateful day when all of her anger, fears, and feelings come to a head.
Can Cay and Gajeel set aside the walls they've built between each other and become a family again, or will they be forced to go their separate ways, forever?
