The world as we know it has completely collapsed. As the New World Church comes to power, women are now made into modern day slaves whose only purpose is to serve men. Women are bought for insanely high prices and this has become an ordinary occurrence. They are known, unofficially, as Barbies and the places they're bought an Attic.

Elise is a Barbie in the Attic. She's just an object meant to be bought for a pretty penny, and she's powerless against the strings of this fate.
However there are secrets that might just unravel the world as Elise knows it. Anything but compliance and submission will cost her severely, and seeing the man outside of the gates? A death sentence.

As the date of her Ascension approaches, Elise has nowhere to turn, except to the man who claims he can change her fate.
