In which a novice mage has an agreement with a mysterious and charming crook to save her skin and draw out a killer. 

Because somebody is taking mages all over the city and Lynx could be next. Somebody is framing her for the murders, hate crime and abuse of magic. Somebody really wants her dead. 

She is running out of time to prove her innocence, and only a crazy old woman, a suave assassin and a dusting of magic can save her, and her sarcasm of course. 

It all started with Jake and Jane sneaking down her lane to deliver her a warning, and it will all end at the stroke of midnight. But she needs to be alive for that, because when the last bell strikes, spells will be broken, curses will come to life, and hell will break loose in London 

Sometimes, even the heroes have to make deals with the devil, all in the name of the greater good.
