Mae Lore's world is very different from ours. Sharing a dingy flat with a foster family of eight - including an older brother with a different girlfriend each night, an older sister with severe attitude issues and a younger sister who refuses to say a single word aside from 'skank', she never expected the arrival of two Demon Twins on her fifteenth birthday. Needless to say, when they start referring to themselves as her 'Paranormal Protectors', Mae is left to question all basis of fact in asking what kind of mysterious, supernatural stalkers are targeting a girl who has lain low for fifteen years.
