Of Dreams and Destiny: A Faerily Good Tale

What happens when life doesn't go how you would think? What happens when you find out that you are actually a faerie, and not just any faerie, but a faerie princess destined to save or sink the whole of a magic rhealm. It would be a big shock wouldn't it. I will just answer that for you. YES. It would.

And this is where I stand. Who I am is who I was born to be; a faerie princess who was destined to save the world as we now know it. I would tell you the outcome of this tale, but you'll have to read on to find out. I am Willow Thorne, and this is my story.

At this moment, my body let off millions of tendrils of light. Some fell to the floor, but the brightest of them wrapped around me and I played with them in my hands. I caught each one and, like a ribbon, danced in the air with it around my waist until the light gracefully twirled and extended down my arms. The light swirled down my arms and finally reached my palm. The tendrils then streamed down to the floor like the last sparks of a firework, and absorbed into the floor. I floated down to the ground and lightly touched my feet to the scorched ground. I reached behind me and felt the pearly, shimmering wings that had formed at my back. I pulled the tip of one into my eyesight and saw that each wing was a deep, clear blue with a light blue iridescent sheen. Talking to my wings,...yeah. I know it's weird. I said "It's nice to have you back my sweets".
