Thanks to @ScienceFiction for selecting Granite Hawk as the lead-off story for its Force & Federation anthology! The Granite Hawk's crew of smugglers are looking for a way out from the Empire's grip that is tightening around them. They think they've found their salvation in the form of a Rebel officer who recruits them for a risky mission. Through the course of their adventure, a more meaningful mission presents itself as the crew struggles against the incursion of the Empire and the Hutt Clan. Author's note: An abridged version of this story was submitted for the Force & Federation project, which got me involved in writing fan fiction for the first time.
