Xiomara was thrown into prison after being found guilty of murdering her father. She didn't testify she just simply explained she was guilty, but  was there more to it? 

There she meets her best friend Maddie.

Now comes in Josh, thrown in the same time for manslaughter of his sister. But he keeps it a secret so he doesn't ruin his bad boy cred. When they become inmates they ignore each other, but after they both get beaten up by a prison guard, Josie, they find something to bond over.

They stay friends, but when the devastating Hurricane Colette destroys the prison, will they break free together?
