Avalir: Ancestral Blood

A world in which all magical ability is condemned to be witchcraft; an ancient race of elves fall victim to genocide for their innate ability in the mystical arts. A young man, Avalir, on a journey to self discovery after returning to his home town after running from his life's trauma only to find further heartache in a life he found content in. In a mission for vengeance, or perhaps another attempt to run from his life, Avalir uncovers secrets long kept from him; his mother whom died birthing him was an elf; he, therefore, half-blooded--the only known of his kind. Meanwhile, darkness spreads through the Empire as a deranged cultist attempts to open a rift for the demon lord, Bakruun to pass into the mortal world and execute his will upon the Earth. Magic seems to be the solution to the problem the King covers up with propaganda, and yet presumes to prosecute and demonize.
