From the sun-basked streets of Athens to the boulevards of Paris; from the rustic city of Kolkata to the ancient temples in the south of India...veneration, devotion or faith isn't the word. Murder is. A journey steeped in history which will suck in the unwary. It's a rainy day in the southern city of Mamallapuram, India. Dia Demoore is on her way to meet her friend musician, Jean Pouvrier. She finds herself captive, and is shot. She leaves behind a clue, causing a rather unexpected stir in a long-standing friendship. Thousands of miles away, in Paris, Jean reads the newspaper, and is shaken by the news of his friend's death. Little does he know...about himself, or what lies ahead. Jean's music links him to Ela, an Athenian tour guide, and they undertake a journey with heartwrenching music as a secret unfolds with everyone unaware. Follow the tale of the sacred death. Follow the tale of Mortis Sacrae. Spirituality takes a new leap as thousands of pilgrims swarm to their holy lands to pay homage to those who have died ... but here's the question: will the crimes happen again? If they do, then what would the consequences be? Follow the tale of the Sacred Death, as Mortis Sacrae delves into the world of crime (especially religious one) that looks into the undertones of the troubled world of today. Can the world survive with so much hatred buried deep within?

Karmichael Torrance is mired in the green, steamy south of Charleston, South Carolina. The city as seen by someone who knows her shadows and walks the margins of her darker secrets. Kar is a drug mover living his life sans constraint, meeting any challenge that presents itself to this nihilistic young warrior. Recently supplanted to downtown Charleston from Jacksonville, he has established himself in the shadowy dregs of deep city bad business, keeping a presence where blood money moves in never ending waves. And speaking of waves, what is it that pulls Karmichael so strongly into the watery arms of the ocean? And who is this finned female creature that visits our (anti) hero during his nocturnal dreamscape? Is she real? What is she trying to express to Karmichael? Into all this falls Jahe Bennet, a native of the Lowcountry who has recently relocated back to Charleston after having survived a failed marriage. Her family is well to do and this enables Jahe to live above a boutique in the historic district on Broad Street. Her nightlife circle eventually flows into the pull of Karmichael and the two damaged souls find some sliver of recognition in each other. They cross paths several times, and after a meaningful first impression begin dating. Kar may not be a good guy, and he may not be honest, but he is always true. He opens to Jahe little by little, until, unfortunately, his other dangerous interests interrupt his best intentions.
