" maaf kar dijiye hume galati ho gayi humse" Please forgive me, I made a mistake she replied playing with the tassels of her dupatta . "However the marriage happened, whatever the compulsion was, I will fulfill every duty of being a husband." "No cuddle shuddle, Yeh khadoos aadmi hai bass farz hi nibhayenge yeh haq nahi jatayenge ". She said in a go and after realising what she has uttered she ran to the bathroom with the speed of lightning after rendering him speechless . ****************************************** "Kya hua hai? Aap kal tak toh theek the aaj aisa lag raha hai jaise main aapko janti bhi nahi hu." Her eyes shedding silent tears. "Muje bhi kal tak bohot kuch lagta tha afsoos galat tha main". It all seemed so possible. I was raised to be the perfect wife, after all. Yes, it was all a dream come true. I should have felt grateful, really. This is my second story book of poetry after publishing Sitting Under a Torn Umbrella - with a new title and have a new outlook. Now modernization of humanity is found nakedly in every aspect of life. Divine law doesn't follow today. Rather we disobey whimsically, arrogantly, intentionally without pondering over its side effects and destructive result. Effortless effort, coreless relation do raise its ugly head like a poisonous snake. The words like filial piety, cordiality, fraternity, honesty, modesty do not get entry into our so called modern lexicon. Man's faith is being stampeded on foot, hope sinks into dispair, promise is broken, innocuous peace cut into pieces. Hanky-panky, desultory atmosphere forced us to go back to the Days of Ignorance. Hopelessly we do feel pangs of neglect sitting under a torn umbrella.

Some events might feel slightly fast-forwarded, but I've done that to keep the essence tight, the emotions raw, and the story impactful without unnecessary dragging. . . He exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Roop, shaadi kisi majboori mein nahi ki jati." (Marriage isn't something that should happen out of compulsion.) A bitter smile tugged at my lips. "Yahi toh farq hai tumhari aur meri zindagi mein, Anirudh. Tumhare paas choice hai, mere paas nahi." (That's the difference between your life and mine, Anirudh. You have a choice. I don't.) His expression darkened. "Main tumhari family se baat karunga-" "Nahi!" I cut him off, my voice sharp with desperation. "You won't understand. You've never seen helplessness, Anirudh. You don't know that when a girl has no options, she only looks for survival." A strange silence stretched between us, thick with unspoken pain. Anirudh sighed and leaned back against the bench, his fingers tapping against his knee. "You're telling me you'd marry any stranger just because you have no other way out?" I stiffened. "You're not a stranger." His lips quirked up, almost amused. "Until a day ago, I was." I clenched my fists. "I don't care who you are. I just need to accept this match, or the other option will destroy me." Anirudh fell silent, his gaze steady on me. The playfulness in his eyes faded, replaced by something more intense, more thoughtful. Finally, he asked, "And what if I tell you that I don't want to marry you either?"
