When Shad (yup that's you!) decided to enter the Huntsman training program at beacon did he expected not much. as one of the best fighters without an Huntsman training, even being better then the 'mighty' Pyrrha Nikos herself. You 2 had fought a lot and you had always won, Pyrrha finally accepted her loss and started to see Shad as an mentor for herself... But now did the 2 left, not knowing that they were on they're way to the same place... Beacon Academy

Jaune's transcripts are revealed early after Cardin hears him tell Pyrrha about them, with this Jaune decides to distance himself from his team so they don't get ridiculed. This however leaves him alone with only verbal support by his team and friends, and he is forced to live outside the dorms for a bit. For a few months Jaune makes himself a home in the Forest of Beacon and due to some political nonsense he has to send his weapon back home, he has to use spare weapons from the armory at the school and learn how to use them. In no time he gets better and through training he catches up to his friends, but thats not all fate has in store for him as he would become more than just a man, he would become the 'Dark Knight' of Remnant.
