He wore a light blue shirt and leather jacket, and had fluffy black hair that fell into his eyes if his head was tilted just right. He stood with his arms crossed, leaning against the tree by our table.
"And who's that?" I asked Dillon again, my voice going up an octave. I cleared my throat, trying to hide it. She laughed.
"That, Dakota, is the badass of our school. Never had a relationship, is pretty much always an asshole, and pretty boy's protection. Although, Pierce can handle himself. But we're sure Landon Hudson over there enjoys the fighting."

Dakota Miller has a normal, routine life. Or did. Until her parents decided to move and make her switch schools.
