Cal Rannigan and his robotic copilot B9 embark on what they think is a simple mission to capture and return a sample of a near-mythical lifeform on a dreary remote planetoid only to find out that what they've been sent to collect is much more than it appears to be, and that old friends aren't as trustworthy as they once thought.
