It's always been Rex Ford. I've always loved him. I think I always will. Sometimes though, you have to walk away from those that you love, because of the love that you feel for them. When you truly love someone, you'll protect them and not yourself. So I did. No explanation. No reason. I just walked. I knew that Rex would never understand my reasons, or understand that I did it because I cared more about his feelings, than I did my own. I walked away from our relationship because I couldn't burden him with something so awful from my past, and I'd do it again in a painful heartbeat. My secret very nearly destroyed me. I couldn't ever let it destroy Rex. Now nine years on, I'm faced once again with the man that I deeply loved, who I will always deeply love. A twisted turn of fate has thrown us back together, and I know he's not happy about it. Rex used to look at me with only love in his eyes; now he looks at me with only hate and confusion. That hurts more than I can ever say. Hurts more than I can ever let him know. For Rex still can't know nothing. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" So much so, that they would stay together eternally. He knew he had his looks going for him, but none of the millions of relationships he tried had worked out. Until one snowy easter night, in a brief conversation, he met her. After 300 years, he finally found a woman he could love so intensely, the curse would break. But he soon realised a terrible problem: that woman, with all her incredible wisdom, was not only blind but also hated him. Rated PG-13 for dark mental themes.

Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
