Forgetting Him

"what?" I snapped already in a bad mood.

"what?" He mocks with a boyish grin cocking his head to the side.

Every time he smiles like that I can't help but remember the good times we once shared. When he smiles his eyes sparkle and I forget how to breath. No wonder I always feel like I'm drowning in them but not in a good way. Not anymore.

"stop looking at me like that"

"like what?"

"like you actually care..."

"what if I do?"

He doesn't I tell myself. He never did.
