But more often than not, reality sinks in, and the happy ending doesn't occur. Especially in high school. The main reason I liked this book so much was because it was so real. It was a love that was destined to crumble from the start, and yet, you kept pushing your luck. We've all been there. The late night texts from your crush waking you up to talk about nothing, the unexpected butterflies when you see him, the gross flaws he possess that you don't seem to notice, or the small things he does that turn you on. Most importantly, we learn that love truly is blind. We're unobservant to the world around us when our teenage love obsession is staring down at us with those big, brown, adorable eyes of theirs. And then when we wake up from this dream-like state that is a first love, we realize that he's not this perfect, older, mature man... but this boy."Complete
My Teddy
The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. This story is y/n (you) falls in love with a football player (an oc of mine). More info: Y/N is a 16 going on 17 year old female, in her Junior year of high school. It's her first day at a new school, a random person Airdropped her something and they begin to chat. This mystery guy is 17 and also his Junior year and is a football player. She knows nothing about him so she's determined to learn more. What she finds out shocks her completely. Preview: "Y/n! Come on let's go!" "Yeah! You are going to make us late!" "God! I'm coming I'm coming! I just needed to grab something." I said walking out to them. "Is that a book?" "Yeah- I really need to know what happens! I'm almost done with it, once I finish I'll watch the game don't worry." I assured the two of them. "Okay want ever you say." We left to go to the game finding a close-to-the-front seat. The three of us sat, we already bought some drinks and snacks. The game soon started and I began to read. "Player down!" Someone yelled as they ran a crossed the field. My head snapped up to get a look and I saw number 22 sitting up with one leg bent and the other laying on the ground. He seamed calm. "Alright, let's get you up," some one said kneeing next to number 22. "No no, I'm fine. Help them, they may be out, he is not responding to me." 22 insisted. Once the others heard this they ran to the other person, 85 from the other team. 22 glanced at the bleachers, briefly making eye contact with me, he then quickly looked back, almost as if doing a double take. He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.
