A shooting pain tears through my side. I gasp around the feeling of an arrow shooting through my ribs. Likely the same one I shot through Geryon on his ranch. Its phantom point is lodged somewhere deep inside, the shaft impaling through bone as if they're made of thin ice. Breathing gets harder the more air I try to suck in, and I think I can feel something warm and wet filling up the empty spaces of my lungs. Drowning me.
I want Camp back. I want my friends back. I want my mom. And Paul. And Chiron. And Blackjack. And my cabin. And Riptide. And Annabeth.
I want my Annabeth.

Percy Jackson is not a good person. At least, not anymore. Percy has been through a lot. Annabeth is dead and his few remaining friends are scattered across America. Percy's been loyal and heroic his whole life, he's always done what the gods asked. And they have only ever repaid him with pain and indifference. So now it's his turn. His longing for justice is growing and the more bitter he becomes, the more it sinks in that without Annabeth, he has nothing left to fight for. But then again, there's nothing holding him back. But a twist in the middle of summer make things go from heaven on earth to complete destruction. One sunny afternoon, Percy gets summoned to Olympus by his father. Naturally, Annabeth follows. When they arrive, Poseidon tells them that he want the 2 of them to go on a question in California, to retrieve a demigod. They wonder why a satyr can't do it, or why it has to be them, not anyone else. After a bit of convincing, they're on their way to Cali, via plane, credit to Zeus. What they don't know, is that another mysterious young demigod was also assigned to this quest. Hali Peterson. Daughter of Poseidon, born in 1937, dropped in the Lotus Casino at age 14, till her father pulled her out in the middle of the Giant War, in hopes to gain some more power in the underwater battle that raging at his palace. Now it was the next summer, and 15 year old Hali was living the dream in Southern California, occasionally going on different quests for her father. What happens when she meets her brother on one of these quests? I hope you like this!
