Short stories are circulating about a costume that refuses to come off once it is put on. The stories end, leaving the victim stranded in some new form, "difficult" to explain. What happens next?
This is my attempt to explore one possible outcome.
Bill Danford has a dead-end job as an IT specialist with a bank, is approaching middle age, still single, and has almost no social life. He has sought distraction through exploring online pornography, trusting the anonymity of the internet to protect him from consequences, until now.
After a month as "Jeanette Le Pew," a skunk-like adult film model, he has worked off his debt and is eager to return to everyday life. Larry and Jerry, the adult film producers benefiting financially from Jeanette's popularity, have different priorities.
Bill was looking for something better, but he was not prepared for what came.
There are no graphic descriptions of sex anywhere in this story. This was written without AI. I do use computer proofreading tools that use AI. I'm not aware of any proofreading aids that don't use AI.

Everybody wants John to be something. His family wanted to marry him off to some rich guy. Isaac wants him to be a wizard. But John has run away from home, determined to follow his own dreams. And his dream is to be a private eye, just like in all the Raymond Chandler novels he read as a child. There's the fairytale of a princess stowed away in a tower guarded by a fire breathing dragon. She prays and prays for a knight in shining armor to take her away from the wretched tower. Of course he slays the dragon, they ride into the sunset, and they live happily ever after. I despise those tales for gifting people false hope. There may not be any dragons in this word but be warned for there are monster who lurk. Teeth lusting to tear, claws craving to carve, and tongues silver with lies. Same goes for those praying for that knight to magically make their monster disappear. Only for their whales of despair to be met with the harsh truth of silence. It's vexing not being able to tell them 'someone is looking for you' and 'I'm almost there, stay strong'. I'm no knight by any stretch but I'm all these lost souls have for a chance of surviving. Blessed with divine forgiveness I'm armed with the ability to hear their pleas. At any moment my mind will be flushed with their screeching, cries, and whispers of hell. Bound by a gods curse to save those who called for my help or have their suffering broadcasted into my head until their demise.

While contending with her monstrous off-spring; navigating an ever-shifting relationship with her frenemy, Miskomin; and adjusting to life under the power of a vampiric task-master, Evangeline gains the self-knowledge and confidence she needs to face the final boss: Herself. A young woman who has lost her job, feels that there is no hope left for her. She decides to go take a walk at a park to take her mind off things. Then an old man walks by her and then tells her that her life will change completely in a year. She finds a job at a bookstore. Minding her days at the bookstore, she enjoyed everything about it. There was just one place that always seemed special to her. The manga section on the third floor. It was a hidden room in the back. Only the employees and her knew about it One day, she finds a special card in between two manga. Since she was the one that found the card, she was the only one that can see it. That same night as she was closing, she saw the old man from the park. Before she was about to get attacked, a man had jumped in to rescue her. When the strange man was done defeating the monster, he punched her on the stomach and fainted. She wakes up and realized, she is in a completely different world, she also realized that her sex had changed. The man that had rescue her was the leader of an organization called TYDT. TYDT stands for The Yaoi Defence Team. The leader gives her a special sphere, Its called the stratosphere. The stratosphere is able to let her have incredible powers. (INCOMPLETE) Of Ink And Flowers - A LGBTQIA+ Love Story
Lufi Muhamad, an insomniac college dropout with mild anxiety, opens up a Tattoo Parlor right across the street from a small Flower Shop. The day after opening, he finds a bouquet on the doorstep of his parlor. He looks across the street and sees a blue-eyed boy with dirty blonde hair opening the flower shop, and something within him stirs. Deimos Alexander, a hyper ADHD 20-year-old, was shocked when he realized that a new business had opened up across the street. He looked in the window and saw (In his best friend's words) an "Emo in the wild" tattooing someone. He makes a bouquet for him and places it on his porch step. He almost dropped his coffee the following day when he saw an oil pastel drawing on his welcome mat from the tattoo artist. Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment. I will either try to incorporate it in the story itself or make a oneshot book. NOTE: There is no specific schedule. The Iron Guardian (A Human x Anthro Superhero Story)
A 22-year-old human boy builds a suit of armor, testing it only to inadvertently cause himself to escape the Earth's atmosphere, drifting off into a deep cryonic sleep, after tens of thousands of days in this frozen state. Then, after what feels like a long time drifting in space, he wakes up, entering a planet, believing he is re-entering Earth's atmosphere. However, when he lands roughly on the dunes of a beach, he realizes that the world he has entered is not Earth at all, but a society filled with anthropomorphic beings. Thinking this might be the only thing that exists, he is soon confronted with an attack in their city, where they are saved by superheroes who happen to be anthropomorphic creatures with superpowers, adorned in costumes that symbolize themselves. It seems unbelievable that they are real. In my world back on Earth, they were fictional and mythical icons found in comic books, movies, and TV shows. After rescuing a superhero from an encounter with a monstrous reptile-like creature in the city, he retreats to the woods. He hides for about a year, living and trying to gather as much knowledge as he can about this new world and the superheroes it contains. He believes he is living an easy life, away from the foreign society. But after saving a school bus filled with anthropomorphic kids from a disastrous fall, ensuring they would not be left behind, he is discovered again. However, at his long-awaited hiding spot, he was in the woods. He was greeted by an anthropomorphic tiger who happened to be the director of the superhero protection agency (SPA) and offered him a place in it.
