"Everything you've ever read and studied about is real. They're not just myths. Zoe, you are a part of this world. It's not just some made up story, but your story. You're a bigger part of this world, more than you understand."

Zoe Smith is a recent graduate of Boston University. All she wanted was to get a job to do with her degree in archaeology, work in a museum or university department, and just live the rest of her life. So when Zoe got the call a couple months after graduation to work for a privately owned curator, she didn't question her luck. But when Zoe's curator contacts her about a trip to Egypt to uncover new artifacts, Zoe is thrust into the world of ancient Egypt.

Zoe will have to dig further into the past to find out her true connection to Egypt. With help from unlikely allies, she will have to go against the very beings she thought to be only myths. Zoe's destiny lies within the stories of the Gods and Goddesses of old, but will she be able to find out her true past?

Destiny Waits for No Man by CarolineJMoon
8 parts Complete Mature
Keeta was born at the beginning of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. She was the only daughter of a nobleman that barely made it through. When she turned sixteen years old, her parents gave her to the temples so that maybe one day she could become a powerful priestess and bring good fortune to their family. Keeta didn't mind. Four years into her studies she was noticed by a young man. It was different for her. Never before had any man taken notice of her. He showered her with gifts and rare desert flowers. She wondered why he was so persistent about her even though she was training to become a priestess. Then God Set killed his brother Osiris and his brother's son Horus was out for revenge. Chaos reined down on the mortal plains. The Goddess Isis protected those within her temple the best she could but some worshippers perished due to Set's wrath. All save her. The man that had such affection towards her returned just before the final battle. With everything happening, Keeta didn't realize that the man was actually Set until Isis appeared after he kissed her and revealed him. Isis felt Keeta betrayed her by sleeping with the man who killed her husband. Before Set could stop her, Isis branded Keeta with the Symbol of Eternal Life cursing her. After, Horus banned Set to the Red Desert and for over a century that's where he remained. Keeta walked amongst the mortals and watched as they all perished as she remained the same. It wasn't until after Set was free of the desert did the truth finally come out and by then it was too late. Isis couldn't reverse the curse. Isis then gifted her with an Anubis pup. Amis, the grandson of Set. He aged the same as any God but preferred the look of a pup unless Keeta was in trouble. Then he took on the look of his father along with the powers that came with his full grown self. When he wasn't protecting Keeta, he was often found on his cushy pillow dreaming of sweet donuts.

A time-traveling god. A mortal stuck in Ancient Greece. They have always been able to hear each other's thoughts, across time and space; the only problem is, they were never supposed to meet. Until they did. And it unravelled the balance of everything. ₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪ The immortal Greek god Evgenis' only job is to travel through time, making sure humanity stays on its course. This is what he was born to do. He was meant to be machine-like, cold, and detached from humanity - ready to invoke bloodshed as needed. His ability to follow through with his duty, however, is disrupted when he forms a mysterious internal bond with a mortal. You see, the Goddess of Love had a different idea for her son's future. Seeing the cruelty of the gods around her, she formed the unborn Evgenis with a secret gift: an eternal inner bond with a mortal. She chose Tharos - named for the strength of his heart - an Ancient Greek villager living an unassuming, simple life. This connection, she prayed, would keep Evgenis' moral compass and conscience strong. He would not end up like the others. No one could anticipate, though, just how powerful and disruptive this bond would grow to be. ------------------------------------------ "Set me as a seal upon your heart... for love is as strong as death." - Song of Solomon, 6:8 ------------------------------------------
