Hana Keitaro has been sick since she was a small child. She does her best in trying to get better, but having an illness with no apparent cure is hard for any body to deal with. Her parents didn't know how to deal with their daughter's illness, so they just stayed away, leaving their son Kozue to look after her 

One day, when the weather was beautiful, Katie was able to take Hana out of the hospital. They go to a park nearby, where they meet Taiga Kagami, Tsubaki Yuta, and Tetsuya Kuroko. Hana joins them in a game but shortly after joining in on the game, Hana starts to have trouble breathing and is rushed back to the hospital. There, Kagami seems to sudden take an interest in the sick girl. Over time Kagami would come and visit Hana in the hospital after basketball practice and she would sometimes be able to go to one of the games, but there's a problem, she keeps getting sick.

The days are getting closer of Hana losing her battle with her illness. Everyone around her can tell that she's tired. She just wants to rest. But Hana wants to keep fighting the pain and tiredness she feels so she can do two  thing, to see Seirin High win the Winter Cup and tell Kagami how she feels. But will her body let her?
