I screamed as it, I'm not sure what it was, burst through the back wall of the garden shed. Will turned around and quickly pushed me behind, protecting me. And then. It was gone. Everything was gone.

He knocked on the door and I could hear his worried voice calling me.
"Y/N?"
I spoke for the first time in days.
"L-leave me alone."
"Y/N!"
"Mike leave me alone. He-he's dead!"

They showed us the body they had pulled from the water. I felt tears price my eyes as I collapsed to the ground. The girl had lied. And he was dead.

Y/N Byers. The childhood friend of Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will. The younger twin of the Byers boy. The depressed little girl who's father left when she was ten. The girl who didn't talk until she was seven. The freak.
These are just a few ways that people would describe the little girl named Y/N Byers.
When her twin brother goes missing while she's with him and she blames herself, she begins to become that crying, mute freak again. Her friends try to comfort her but her best and childhood friend abandoned her and begins to fall for an escaped lab child with a number for her name. Or so she thinks. she misses the looks he sends her way.
Her brother was gone. She had to stay strong. For her mother. But she's going through pain. Alot of pain.
Fear. Alot of fear. But not her own fear.
Then... The worst thing happens. Her father picks up the phone.. And her brother is found.
At least, she thinks he was found.
