This is a story about a 16 year old  hybrid vampire, a Vampiric prince, Love, Trust, and the wish for eternal freedom.

"For as long as I can remember my people have been in charge. My dad sometimes told me stories about how us Vamps came to power. He would tell me how we over threw the humans and took their freedom. We made them our slaves, or in other words our pets. I was okay with this, for a while, that is until I found out what I am. I always thought I was just a normal Vampire girl, or at least as normal as it gets. But when I turned 16, I found out I am only half vampire. My mom was a human, my dad was a Vamp. My dad ended up turning my mom when he found out she was pregnant with his child. My mom, dad and I kept it a secret for a long time. I don't know why we ever thought we could hide it, I don't know why we didn't run. The king had found out about me being hybrid, and he had my Dad killed for breeding with a human. A while after my father's death, my mom found the sorrow to much to bear, and killed herself. Since I was orphaned, the king decided to make me a pet. He decided to give me to a human pet store, so I might be sold".
