Being torn away from her family, due to a boat wreck when she was just a ten year old girl, who has always been alone ever since that night. It's always just been her and her dragon, a bone knapper she named Litchwing who saved her from drowning in the rough ocean waters that fateful stormy night. Nine years later still on her own with Litchwing, never staying in one place, making friends and more then a few enemies all over the archipelago, avoiding the dragon hunters the best she can so she doesn't get caught by them, meaning always lurking in the shadows because she's a wanted dragon rider in their eyes. Due to always lurking in the shadows, means easily tracking and getting information, then going and helping the ones who need helping, saving the ones who need saving and flying off into the sky after her deed is done.
One day she gets caught in the act by one of the dragon hunters, she has to dig her way out of the situation in order to fly free without revealing her identity, which causes her more trouble then expected.

This is not an Apocalypse
The world is changing, two years ago strange weather, various anomalies and strange creatures started appearing from nowhere all over the world. Some creatures were completely alien and others were familiar looking as if they'd stepped from myth and legend. What many of these creatures had in common however was their aggressive nature and predatory instinct. Things that go bump in the night, that shifting shadow in the dark alley way, the cracking branch right behind you. Nightmarish creatures now stalk the land. Monsters. That isn't the only change in a new world however, humans have also changed. Some unknown phenomenon has granted humanity access to incredible power. The very elements themselves can now be wielded by those willing to risk the dangers. Earth, wind, fire, water, suddenly magic has become possible in a modern world and there are many who are eager to develop and embrace their newfound power and help protect their fellow man from monsters. There are also many who are willing to make a profit from newfound opportunities this changing world provides. Unfortunately for our MC Jack, embracing newfound power and going out to valiantly battle monsters isn't quite as simple as most other people have it. He possesses the rare and not so sought after lightning element, considered the weakest element for certain reasons, pitied and looked down upon Jack is determined to become a successful monster hunter in a more and more dangerous world. A slow burn story with world building, dungeon delving, character progression, Litrpg elements and more. WARNING - The MC is not a Mary Sue, he is not super competent, or super powerful or super intelligent nor a paragon of virtue, just a normal guy in a not so normal situation and him growing to deal with it in his own way.
The Dragon Huntress
Even when growing up, Elia didn't fit in with the other girls. They would dress up in dresses. She wore cloaks. They would cook and sew. She would throw knives. They liked boys. She liked bows. Elia was a bit of an outcast to her village, with her striking dark brown hair that was always kept back in a fishtail plait, and her light blue/green eyes that seemed to change colour in the light. She had no parents, and at 16 lives alone, and breathlessly waits each year to watch the dragons during the Week of Xanithar, admiring the way they fly, wild and free. This year is her year of testing, at 16. The first of the four dragon riders to get to the village can claim it. The moment that dragon rider sets foot on the ground of your village, the emblem of that academy is hung from the flag and any new dragon riders in their village are the new students for the academy. Each village has 4 new dragon riders, this is the way it has been for years. Male or female they are claimed and tested to find the four riders a week after. The challenge for the dragon riders in the Week of Xanithar is to claim as many strong blooded villages as possible. And now it's her turn.Complete

All her life Magma has experienced people leaving her because she was different. When her parents could no longer tolerate her difference they sent her away to live with relatives. As a child she wasn't willing to take all the types of love that were offered. As an adult she became a smokejumper due to her ability to control flames. Even though she does more than those in her crew she is alone and an outsider because they fear her. When the Captain of another station goes missing they send her on a rescue mission only for her to find that the man she is sent to save is the only one who belongs to her. She will be the first of her kind to experience the bond that a dragon can have with their mate. Igneous has never come from a loving family. Over his twenty eight years he has spent more time away from his parents than with them. When he goes missing after the rescue they come to his aid and have him removed from Magma not knowing that it threatens his life. After a harsh truth is revealed he is returned to her and once bound he is able to see her true purpose. Magma becomes more than just his mate and becomes the keeper of the past to give all dragons hope that someone is out there for them. Igneous gives her all the things she wanted in life while she gives him what he didn't know he was missing. They are the first dragon and human couple inspiring more to come.Complete
