The world is just a battlefield between angels and demons-and inevitably, humans must also partake in the war.
  
  Satan, together with the other Princes of Hell, have declared war with Heaven, and it's what we humans call the "Spiritual War". His wrath has caused distortions in Hell, spawning and creating different kinds of malevolent apparitions called Specters. Together with these inhumane creations, the Princes of Hell are slowly corrupting the world, first starting with the most gullible person and ending with the last person in the world. If we don't put a stop to this, all of us will turn our backs to God, and evil will triumph over evil.
  
  But luckily, there are still other people out there who constantly train to keep evil away from the world. We're called Banishers-highly-trained warriors that are tasked to help God's army prevail in this war. We must not let evil win over our pure hearts.

The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. They were known to cause demon manifestations, create devastating natural disasters, raise hell itself, any terrible thing you could imagine. Keepers who tried to control their powers typically gave up after years of trying and resorted to embracing darkness. Then there were darkness-coded Keepers, the most violent and rare kind. They were the only ones not human, and they were horrifying. No one had ever heard the story from the perspective of a Keeper, though. No one knew they had feelings, traumas, stories of their own. No one recognized Keepers were still human, despite the darkness-coded. Just Crimson Sinclair's luck, though, when she and her friends find out that they aren't normal human beings. . .
