A small boy hid behind a hay bale, warm tears flooding his eyes and started rolling free. It was a chilly night, the sky could be described as anything but sunny. The boy lacked a jacket, he, himself, wasn't even sure what he was hiding from. Yet the multiple pairs of footsteps headed his way composed him to hide. "Max!? Baby, come out!" His exposed neck pressed back into the frigid strokes of hay. "Max!" He heard his name shouted once again, it was closer this time. Thoughts swirled around in his head for what felt like hours but in reality, only a couple of seconds. Footsteps passed next to him, the flash of a pink dress overwhelmed his vision. His mother had passed. "Mom! I found him!" His feet leave the ground, he comes close to screaming. "Hey, calm down, it's just me.." The voice said to him, he felt as if he could finally move. His head turned to the voice of the male, the pink dress was coming back into his vision. She leads them home. "Why did you run away like that?! Max? Max, you can't do that!" "Hey, don't yell at him!" The boy had Max curled up in his arms, the boy holding him was his brother, Colby. "Why isn't he talking?" "He doesn't usually talk for at least an hour after one of his panic attacks." Colby said, laying Max on the couch. "And how do you know that?" She snapped, "I've known him longer than you! Now go do whatever the hell you do with that douche of a husband you married!" ~~~ Colby sat on the bed next to Max, placing his hand on top of Max's head. "There's something wrong with me, Colby..." Max's voice cracked, "I don't know why I have these attacks. I'm so sorry for being so unbearably attached to you, you're just... You're just the only thing I have!" Colby listened to him and smiled as tears began to flood in his eyes. "I guess we'll have to learn how to live with that."

She didn't reply and I felt her finger move across my skin, lower, and almost all the way down my lower back. A shiver coursed through my body, strangely pleasant, and I felt her finger stop. "Your tattoos are beautiful," she said softly. Too close. She was too close. My pulse was hammering and I could feel her cool breath against my skin when she spoke, and my body was warm from having felt her. I couldn't reply. My breathing was light and shaken. I wanted to just turn around and pull her against me, or rather put her against a wall, so I could kiss her and feel her more properly against me. If she touched me again, I wasn't sure that I could keep myself from doing just that. "I'm going to take a shower," I said suddenly in an attempt to escape. She didn't stop me, so I took that opportunity to walk away. When I reached the bathroom, I took a deep breath to steady myself as well as my pulse. Closing the door behind me, I ran a hand through my hair. She truly was a nightmare. A bad boy's worst nightmare was a girl that made him want to be a good one.
